The First 24 Itinerary
- 4:00 PM | The Welcome Snack at Bisbee’s
- Drop the bags and head to Bisbee’s Hardware.
- The Mission: Walk in, grab a bag of their famous free popcorn, and browse the aisles. It’s the best way to shake off the road trip and feel like a local immediately.
- 5:00 PM | Provisions at Kenyon’s & The VG
- Swing by Kenyon’s Variety if you need rugged gear, then hit the Village Grocery (The VG) for local snacks and a 4-pack of Lawson’s Finest.
- The Mission: Soak in the vibe at The VG — it’s the unofficial town hall of the Valley.
- 7:00 PM | Dinner with the Legends
- Option A: Stop in at The Hyde Away | Wood Burning Fireplace in the Tavern (winter) and outdoor dining (summer), Open in 1949 — Look for Cyrus or Mikey at the bar, warm up by the fire, order the Tuna Tartare, their famous Meatloaf or Chicken Plate.
- Option B: Head to China Fun for takeout. Look for Roo — he’s hilarious and will likely be the highlight of your night.
- Option C: Hit The Mad Taco — Find Phil, Cellia, or Sean at the bar. Order the smoked pork tacos, and be brave with the house-made hot sauces.
- 9:00 PM | Nightcap at Emily’s
- Wrap up the night at Emily’s Bar & Bistro
- The Mission: Grab a seat at the bar. It’s a part of the local scene — modern, cozy — serves craft cocktails and comfort food.
- 8:00 AM (Next Morning) | The VG Breakfast
- Go back to the Village Grocery
- The Mission: Order a breakfast sandwich at the deli. It’s the universal fuel for a day at Sugarbush or Mad River Glen.
Note
If you arrive later in the evening, as many people do, everything will be closed! Some restaurants serve until 9pm, others until 10pm. On weekends and holidays — or Epic Powder Days — reservations can be full. If you’re arriving late, plan on bringing your own food.
